Kim and Inge warmly welcome you to Abalona Hotel & Apartments. Together with their four children – Eline, Laura, Quinten and Witse – they have built a family business where genuine hospitality and personal service are at the heart of everything they do.
Both gained extensive experience in the hospitality industry early in their careers. Kim later pursued an international career as a Service Engineer, while Inge managed a bed & breakfast and vineyard in Australia.
Starting their own Bed & Breakfast was therefore a natural next step.
In 2010, Kim and Inge began building Abalona, which initially opened with five beautifully appointed guest rooms. Much of the construction was completed by their own hands, reflecting their passion, dedication and attention to detail.
Over the following decade, Abalona expanded through two major developments into a boutique hotel with thirteen rooms. More recently, eight modern apartments were added, giving guests an even wider choice of accommodation to suit both short and extended stays.
Today, Kim and Inge continue to invest in the future of Abalona. Kim enjoys taking on the technical and construction challenges of every new project, while Inge brings each new space to life with her eye for interior design, creating warm, elegant and welcoming accommodations for every guest.
